This has been one of my favorite STL Chinese food places for over 20 years. It's the place to go if boneless duck is your thing.

I was home for Thanksgiving and had to get some Chinaman. Northland was open the Saturday after the holiday and they didn't disappoint. I had 5 kids with me and the only thing they had in common was they all wanted chicken wings. The rice and wing combo saved me the hassle of trying to please everyone. With 5 rice variations ranging from duck to shrimp and even pickier choices like no onions or an egg roll instead of crab Rangoon, Northland Chop Suey got every part of my order right. The man at the window was nice and patient and his service was A1. My Shrimp St. Paul with cheese was PERFECT! My rice was nice and dark but not greasy. My only critique is they are a CASH ONLY restaurant. Definitely worth trying.

They accept cash only but the food is good, make sure no one jumps ahead of you when ordering because they have rude ass customers.

My favorite childhood restaurant for fast food. They only deal on cash. Make sure you save time by calling in your order. I'm not sure how they stay in business giving out such large portions with low pricing. If you're a fan of catfish, you have to get their plates. So much food for a little.

I have been coming to this place for years. I moved away a few years ago, but every time I come back into town, this is a must have. I always get the chicken fried rice. I don't think I've ever had anything better. It is oily so don't expect it to be healthy, but it is delicious. The rest of my family has always enjoyed the St. Paul sandwiches. I gotta say, we have only tried these few items because we think so highly of them that we don't need to try anything else!

I must say Northland Chop Suey has been awesome starting when they were located at Northland shopping center ( over 25 yrs ago) soooo trust me....they got sum good food. Orders always checked and right. Try it.!!!!

not sure what is going on, still good don't get me wrong I used to drive over half and hour to go at least once weekly, now I haven't been in over 6 months(due to quality of fried rice). I went got the fish still great but I am guessing new management/owner because prices have totally jumped. still good but cost way more. the fried rice used to be in huge container and when i added duck to special fried rice I knew I was getting the duck I paid for. I literally had one piece of duck was not worth extra costs. rice was the same quality it was 6 months ago. I think they lost the great guy at counter and the great cook because it is not the same. I loved their fried rice dark flavorful now it is just another so so
